Of First Importance

1Co 15:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

The Bible is a large book, with alot content and we are blessed that in this passage Paul singles out the center of it all. Of course, nothing in Scripture is unimportant, but nothing else is "of first importance" like the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

As with the Bible, nothing in my life should be "of first importance" than this. May the Lord help me to meditate on His word by always going back to that "of first importance".
